NAVICON is the innovative remote control system designed by SAET to localize a fleet of vehicles operating in an area and transmit a series of information to an operations centre.By fitting a vehicle with a NAVICON by SAET GPS receiver and a series of sensors and transducers, all the information relating to its position and collected by the sensors can be transmitted to a central or remote server for processing, making it possible to access and organize a series of information, including:
  • real-time display and management of the vehicle fleet with localization on digital maps
  • control of all the operational aspects, such as movements or processes performed in a particular time interval, monitoring of temperatures, any alerts (e.g.: door opening)

  • Data transmission takes place via an on-board processor fitted with an integrated system for converting the data and transmitting the parameters of interest to the operations centre.
  • The system is fully customizable as regards both message transmission frequency and content so as to best respond to specific needs, such as:

    • high transmission frequency if the aim is to monitor vehicle movements with extreme accuracy
    • messages with an extremely elaborate structure when numerous or complex parameters can be associated with the various vehicles
In addition, multiple Client stations can be connected to the capture server if required

  • Dual mode data transmission

    • GPRS: for localization applications with a high rate of exchange of information. GPRS transmission also allows for a two-way exchange between the remote server and the vehicles
    • SMS (email): with message transmission frequency programmed on installation of the system. Text messages are also sent in the event of any variations in the vehicle’s operating status
  • Maximum versatility and connection possibilities: up to 7 inputs, 4 of which are analogue, one digital for the tachograph, plus one serial port for connecting to another device and one CanBus for connection to the vehicle’s CAN network
  • Available in two versions, with 8 LED indicators and 10-key keyboard or 128×64 display to enable on-board reading of control messages or alerts
  • Local and remote debugging, which can be very useful to enable intervention from the operations centre in the event of particular issues that require access to the operating parameters
  • Buffer battery, meaning no loss of settings in the event of a power cut, and guaranteeing correct shutdown of the connected system and the sending of any alarms
  • Built-in antennae which can also be operated remotely in case of access to the device being difficult
  • 12 or 24 volt power supply to guarantee operation in all types of vehicle
  • Large internal memory for storage of a high volume of data, thanks also to the removable SD card
